a pleasure to host last weekend! The Chamisa Hills Couples finished their weekend today! Busy Busy Busy! The only draw back is the weather feels more like fall than spring. Not to worry. Looks like we are going to get our highs back up into the 80s. Just in time for the Women’s Southwestern Golf Association Match Play Tournament this week.

March 15th, 2010Two friends, Norb Mogan and Dwaine Whipple from Hastings MI, playing about an hour apart, both made a hole-in-one on the same hole, #17, on March 5th. Dwaine’s first and Norb’s third.
SCAGA Tournament at SDR March 20
March 12th, 2010On March 20th Sierra Del Rio will host the Sun Country Amateur Golf Association (SCAGA) golf tournament. The event is sold out and currently has a waiting list of about 10. We welcome all players and look forward to a great event.
Putts Break towards Turtleback Mountian

Playing Sierra Del Rio golf course can be a challenge from tee to green. But once your on the green, you can save some strokes by remembering that almost all putts will break towards Turtleback Mountain. Keep an edge on your competition and remember this tip when playing with friends or in competition at SDR. Remember proper golf etiquette green side, and repair ball marks and rake your traps!
